The Region 1-5A wrestling championships are nicknamed the “Region of Doom” due to the difficulty of advancing to the State Championships in Houston. These brackets are loaded with Top 20 wrestlers and only the top five in each weight class will be packing their bags for the state tournament in Houston next weekend.
Lots of ranked match-ups and plenty of upsets are to be expected and will take maximum effort to succeed in the quest to make it to the Berry Center in Houston for the UIL State Championships.
