State Duals team matches and individual matches that we could see
The excitement and energy are building as we get closer to the wrestling postseason. District tournaments are just a couple of weeks away and the dreams of qualifying for the State Tournament for some and placing or even winning it all for others will be officially underway.
The State Duals is a fantastic postseason warm up event that will have many of the best teams from 6A , 5A , and 4A competing for a State team title.
In 6A we have most of the top teams represented with the exception of Allen and in 5A we will get to see most of the top teams with the exception of Melissa. We will also get to see two of the top 4A teams in Canyon Randall and Dumas compete in the 5A bracket as they have opted up into the 5A bracket to compete.
The 4A bracket is well represented by some of the best smaller 4A and under schools as they compete against schools with similar enrollments for the 4A team title.
The teams are seeded and the bracket is set so we will preview the Duals and potential marquee match ups in each dual that we may get to see. We have predicted the winners in each dual based off of their state rankings, but we fully expect to see plenty of individual and team upsets as different styles meet up and coaches move wrestlers up and down in order to maximize their chances to win the duals.
There will also be lots of great match-ups on the back side of the bracket and in the placement matches that are not listed here.
